ABOUT US
Laurentian University Mine Rescue Club is a student run organization whose aim is introduce mining engineering students to mine rescue before they enter the work force. Through a partnership with Ontario Mine Rescue we are able to provide basic mine rescue training to students to raise safety awareness in engineers entering the mining industry. We have also worked with mine rescue officers and other volunteers to train students teams to compete in mine rescue competitions, such as the Sudbury/ Onaping District Mine Rescue Competition and the Intercollegiate Mines Emergency Response Development competition in Colorado.
